Cruel to be kind
Was watching "10 Things I Hate About You" after dinner. There was this song at the end of the movie with a catchy chorus that went like this - "you gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure...blah blah...". Can anyone explain that line to me? Just out of curiosity. Joel very naive wan.

hi joeL caeme here! hahah what i think is that when you wanna be kind to a person you gotta tell the person the truth so that he/she would know and corrects him/herself. thats kindness. but truth hurts ysee. so its cruel. hahaha!

cruel to be kind. hm. it's like doing something you dont' want to do, or soemthing that wouldn't be the best, but is FOR the best for another person. yah. =)

actually i got slapped once for disturbing a girl when i was 12. not very nice...my ears were ringing after that...
