A tiring Saturday...a sleepy Sunday...

Classes commence again after a week's break. I told myself I have to enjoy my weekend as much as possible. So here's how my weekend went...

Saturday. I woke up for 6 a.m. prayer meeting 'cos I had worship practice later on. Worship practice ended early so I hopped over to Aunty Tyan Min's house to help prepare for the barbeque that night. I'm proud to say that I peeled potatoes for the very first time that day. Nearly sliced my fingers 3 times but I learned fast. After peeling and mashing, Hoey Theen and Mel came over to my place to eat my grandma's lemak laksa. I love laksa so I had 2 large bowls. Regretted soon after when my stomach started to ache like crazy for eating too much.
Afternoon came and time to go to youth meeting. The topic that day was Finding the Right Spouse. BGR (Boy Girl Relationship) in other words. The crowd was big for that kind of topic as usual. I tried hard to pay attention because I only slept for 3 hours the night before. The talk was good nonetheless. Even though I've read books and listened to countless of sermons on this topic, there's always something for me to learn. Hope my next relationship would be a blessed one.
Barbeque. Met my fairy godmother's (Hoey Theen) colleagues, although I've forgotten all their names already except Phoebe because she look like my accounts tuition teacher when I was form 4. Barbeque was good even though I felt underage around a majority of working young adults. We played a couple games. Let me just say that I hate balloons...the big ones especially. We played this game where we had to blow balloons until they burst. One dude's balloon exploded just beside me, sending a spray of saliva into the air. Ewww...how he blow balloon wan. We also sang some songs along with some childish actions. Its fun seeing adults acting like kids.

Sunday. Struggled to wake up in the morning. Was supposed to wear stripes to church as according to plan. Decided to go all out but got disappointed when I saw Uncle Wai Hin and Shanker wearing stripes that had to be magnified to see. Belot man. Wore my new tie which Hoey Theen gave for my birthday. Felt funny when I saw Uncle Sai Cheok wearing the same tie. Haha. I still love the tie nevertheless.
Didn't manage to eat breakfast because I was late which made me extra sleepy onstage. Goodness, my guitar felt as heavy as my eyelids. Couldn't wait to get home and rest after church.
Went to play badminton in the evening. Lost to the kids as usual. Could have won if not for my one month lay-off. Haha, the excuses that I can come up with. Watched a really cool badminton game between Ryan and Uncle Mike. Uncle Mike won the game hands down. Found it uber cool the way he can play the shots with such precision and his stamina is just amazing. By the way, Ryan is in his 20s and Uncle Mike is in his 50s. Go Uncle Mike!

Sigh. Wished my hols could be longer. Oh well, life goes on. Life as a student starts again on Monday.
