Who gives a damn...really.

Okay, so United Live's coming to KL next month (co-host by SIB KL). Its exciting because they are an awesome worship band and they can really rock. Planetshakers is holding a 3 day conference as usual at the Pyramid Convention Centre in December. Casting Crowns will be going to Singapore. Man, I wish I could go to that one. But anyway, what's all this crap I'm hearing about United Live being better than Planetshakers or vice-versa? Music-wise, its easy to comment. It's a wonder sometimes if Planetshakers and United Live are just out there to sell albums. Heck, Planetshakers has an album almost every year (with the same repeated songs too). Then there's that argument that United Live's musicians are just plain posers with their super low-slung guitars and star jumps onstage. The songs seemed monotonous because they sound similar at times, just different lyrics, sparking the debate that they're just trying to put new songs into each album. Young musicians no doubt, try to emulate these worship maestros. Hey, who doesn't want to feel like a rock star in a "holy and acceptable" way?
But put all these things aside and you still can't deny that these two bands have written some great songs about God. It really doesn't matter who's better. To me, its the genuinity of the band to inspire people to worship truthfully. Forget about comparing their musicianship, showmanship, styles, blah blah blah. I bet both bands are out there to rock for Jesus. United Live better than Planetshakers? Who gives a damn...really.

Some good and some bad...

To start, I had a very dreaded test this morning. Couldn't really study last night so I decided to bring my lecture notes and have a quick read before the test at college. So much for studying 'cos I realised I left my lecture notes at home when I reached class. Anyway, I still had another set and my textbook. The test was...well...not very good anyway. Sigh.

Today I fell asleep while having a group discussion. My group mates didn't wake me up and I ended up missing lunch and I left my marketing group mates in the lab stressing to complete the project. Gosh, I really felt bad. Thank God Miss Alice wasn't mad at us eventhough we handed in a lil late. Later Miss Alice anounced that 5 students failed their case study because they left out their bibliography. I panicked for a moment. Did I do my bibliography. I checked my soft copy and it wasn't there. Miss Alice was kind enough to help me check my hard copy. Man I was already thinking about the consequences if had I fail my case study on the way to her room. She slowly pulled out a couple of copies, browse through and my name wasn't in the failure group. Whew! Glad my day didn't end badly. Faced enough disasters today.
